Chairman of Hamas's political bureau Khaled Mishaal has met Russian deputy foreign minister and special envoy to the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov.

A statement for Hamas on Monday said that Mishaal and other Hamas leaders met Bogdanov in Doha and briefed him on the situation in Jerusalem and the West Bank, shedding light on the occupation’s increasing repression and growing settlement activity.

The delegations also discussed the situation in the blockaded Gaza Strip as well as Palestinian reconciliation efforts and overall issues related to the region.
