On the twenty-sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Fathi Al-Shiqaqi, founder of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, spokesman of Hamas, Hazem Qassem, stated the following:
The thought and struggle of the martyr Fathi Al-Shaqaqi represented a real lever for the Palestinian national movement, which contributed to fueling the resistance against the occupation, and formed a new impetus for the revolutionary action.
On the anniversary of Shiqaqi's martyrdom, we affirm the strategy of resistance unity and field partnership and continue in a solid alliance to achieve the goals of our Palestinian people with liberation and return.
