Hamas has condemned recurrent remarks by Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas opposing the Palestinian intifada and justifying his security cooperation with the occupation.
In a press statement on Monday, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri deemed Abbas's remarks harming to the Palestinian interests.
He called on Abbas to abandon positions which offer cover to Israeli crimes and encourage the occupation to carry out further repression against Palestinians.
In an interview with the Israeli television, Abbas described resistance operations as "insane", asserting that his security forces had aborted several stabbing operations.
