Hamas movement welcomes the vote of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly in favor of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. 

We reiterate our legitimate right to restore every inch of the occupied Palestinian territories and the right to return to the homes, towns, and villages from which the Palestinians were expelled in 1948 by Zionist gangs. The Palestinian people also have the right to resist the Israeli occupation, until liberation, independence, and establishment of the sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. 

Hamas extends its appreciation to the countries that voted in favor of the Palestinian people with an overwhelming majority. Additionally, this vote has uncovered the United States’ out-of-tune stance towards the Palestinian cause, as it voted against the resolution and insisted on opposing international consensus.
