Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri stated that the Israeli detention campaigns against Palestinians, especially against Hamas cadres in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem will not stop the Jerusalem intifada (uprising) or weaken its momentum.

In a press statement on Tuesday, Abu Zuhri denounced the Israeli detentions, noting that such measures will only increase Palestinians' adherence to the intifada and solidify their commitment to its goals.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested early Tuesday more than 20 Palestinians, including Hamas leaders and cadres in different areas in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
