The international donor's conference for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) starting tomorrow, November 16, 2021; Under the title "Preserving Rights and Human Development of Palestinian Refugees", under the auspices of Jordan and Sweden in Brussels, with wide international participation.

Regarding this important and strategic international meeting, Hamas affirms the following:

First: The Palestinian refugees and the right of return are a central issue in our struggle against the Zionist occupation. The Palestinian people must be compensated for seven-decade of ongoing suffering.

Second: UNRWA was established by Resolution 302 of the United Nations General Assembly in 1949 and was mandated to provide relief and work to Palestinian refugees until their return.

Third: Hamas stresses that the UNRWA's survival and the protection of its mandate is the duty of the international community that was a key party in creating the problem. The continuation of UNRWA's work according to the granted mandate is a key factor in stability and development in the region and abroad.

Fourth: Hamas considers that UNRWA's funding crisis is serious and has become a fixed target for the Zionist policy as it seeks to eliminate UNRWA's role and mandate through attempts to cancel the issue of the Palestine refugee.

Fifth: Hamas looks forward to the UNRWA's International Donor Conference in mobilizing sustainable political and financial support to enable the UNRWA to continue providing its services to the Palestinian refugees in proportion to the steady increase in the number of refugees and the development required for these services, and to face the funding crisis that it experiences every year.

Sixth: Hamas calls on those gathered at the conference to ensure reaching positive outcomes which guarantee a vision and an action strategy that achieves sustainability and constitutes protection for UNRWA in the face of all attempts to undermine it and disrupt its services.

Seventh: Hamas calls on the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the African Union, and all the Palestinian people to contribute in forming an incubator and support base for UNRWA and to support its role and emphasize the importance of its continued existence.
