Member of Hamas Political Bureau Husam Badran said on Sunday evening that Palestinian joint work is a strategic option for his movement in the fight against the Israeli occupation.
Speaking at a youth forum held in the Gaza Strip, Badran added that achieving Palestinian unity on the basis of resistance and commitment to national constants is the only way to end the Israeli occupation, stressing that Hamas is seeking true unity.
"Hamas believes that the best way to deal with the occupation is through comprehensive resistance," Badran pointed out.
Badran continued: "Regardless of how much stances vary among the [Palestinian] factions, we all agree on the main objective of resisting the occupation."
The senior Hamas official called for fostering harmony between the Palestinian factions and reinforcing fraternity, cooperation, and dialogue in a way that serves the Palestinian issues.
"The youth should shoulder responsibility for the joint work," Badran stressed. "They're are capable of that and have set advanced and developed examples [in this regard]."
Reiterating the importance of the youth's role in the Palestinian joint work, Badran confirmed that Hamas invests in the Palestinian youth to overcome the Palestinian political deadlock.
Badran urged that the Palestinian youth to have more initiative, embrace teamwork, and make their way in the Palestinian decision-making circles.
