Head of Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniyeh has instructed his movement to mobilise support against the British Home Secretary's plan to blacklist the movement in its entirety, media advisor to Hamas chief Taher Al-Nuno said.

Al-Nuno emphasised that the British decision was made under pressure from the Zionist lobby and was an attempt to “blackmail and pressure the movement”.

Meanwhile, more support is voiced for the Palestinian resistance, including the Hamas movement, at the international level, the advisor added. “The Israeli occupation has witnessed retreat in terms of international support, on the contrary.”

Al-Nuno confirmed that neither the British home office’s secretary’s plan nor any other similar moves to blacklist the movement would change Hamas’s unwavering positions towards the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.

"Britain should have punished the Israeli occupation for its crimes against the Palestinian people,” He added.

The senior advisor confirmed that the Palestinian people are determined to restore their rights seized by the Israeli occupation, pointing out that Western governments could not override the Palestinian resistance and Hamas.
