Iranian officials and representatives for dozens of organizations denounced, on Sunday evening, the British decision to label Hamas as a "terrorist organization."

Hamas representative in Iran Khalid al-Qadoumi received officials and representatives for nearly 50 governmental and non-governmental organizations in the movement's office in Tehran.

The Iranian officials and activists vehemently condemned the UK government's ban on Hamas, voicing their solidarity with the movement and the Palestinian people in confronting this "unjust decision and supportive of the Israeli occupation."

"This decision is an indicator that the Zionist project is waning and that the Palestinian resistance will triumph over its enemies," they explained.

Reaffirming their support for Palestinian rights, they called on all free people of the world to denounce this unfair move.

Al-Qadoumi welcomed the Iranian officials and representatives, thanking them for their powerful stances against the British government's move.

"Palestinian rights will not be abolished by a decision taken by a country such as Britain, which is the root cause behind Nakba and the plight of the Palestinian people since the beginning of last century," al-Qadoumi said.

The Hamas official held the UK government responsible for supporting Israeli terrorism and increasing tension and insecurity on a global scale by taking such decisions.
