The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" mourns the National leader "Abdel Salam Badr Siam", who passed away this afternoon due to his infection with Coronavirus at the age of 52.

Being a symbol of sacrifice, Palestine lost a loyal solid man who dedicated his life to Palestine and suffered the bitterness of occupation prisons.

Indicating that he was an honorable model of will and sacrifice for Palestine and Gaza issues, Hamas praises the contributions of the leader "Abdel Salam Badr Siam" as he was tireless in protecting our Palestinian people and resistance.

Besides security achievements, Siam assumed the presidency of the first administrative committee to lead government work in the Gaza Strip to lay important rules in serving the Palestinian people, relieving them, and meeting their needs.

Hamas indicates that Siam concluded his journey as Secretary-General for the head of Hamas office in Gaza, Yahya al-Sinwar, and he acted as his first assistant.
