Head of Arab and Islamic Relations Portfolio, Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, called on Arab and Islamic parliaments to pressure their governments to enact decisions and laws that prevent and criminalize normalization.

"The unjust British law considering Hamas a terrorist organization is an aggression against our entire Palestinian people to isolate the legitimate resistance against this occupation," Al-Hayya stressed during the “Parliamentarians for Jerusalem” conference.

Al-Hayya called on parliaments to confront the occupation plans in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa represented by displacement and Judaization, pointing out that hundreds of thousands will desecrate Al-Aqsa every day in the recently established occupation school-visit program.

Al-Hayya demanded diligent work to support Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa via all forms of material and moral support, and protect Jerusalemites from the forced displacement campaigns in Sheikh Jarrah, Batn Al-Hawa, and others.

Al-Hayya pointed out that about 5,000 Palestinian detainees, including 10 Legislative Council members, languish in occupation prisons, and he demanded Arab and Islamic parliaments to support the prisoners.

Stressing Hamas' rejection of all projects that seek to overthrow the right of return, Al-Hayya called for confronting all attempts to liquidate the right of return.

Calling on parliamentarians to visit Gaza and witness the destruction caused by the occupation, Al-Hayya called on the Arab and Islamic parliaments to extend a helping hand and work to end the siege on Gaza by law and action.
