Head of Hamas Political Bureau reaffirmed that the issue of Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation prisons is at the top of the agenda of his movement and the Palestinian resistance.
Speaking at a session on Palestinian detainees, martyrs, and injured on the third day of the 12th Pioneers of Jerusalem Conference, Haniyeh stressed that the four Israeli occupation soldiers captured in Gaza will not be released unless Palestinian detainees get out in return.
The movement supports the detainees in the Israeli occupation jails by strengthening their steadfastness and working hard to free them, Haniyeh explained.
The Hamas chief added that the movement has managed to free more than a thousand detainees from Israeli occupation jails in the Wafaa Al-Aharar prisoner swap deal in 2011.
Haniyeh pointed out that Palestinian detainees and martyrs are "victims of the Israeli occupation and its terrorism," hailing them for stepping in to defend their homeland.
