Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has received a letter of congratulations from Mohammed Khorshid, deputy secretary-general of the Iraqi National Accord, on Hamas's anniversary.
 
Khorshid pointed out that this year's anniversary coincided with the Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim popular uprising in support of Jerusalem and against former US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Israeli occupation. 

"We express our solidarity with you," Khorshid added. "We support you in your struggle to restore the national, just rights of the Palestinian people, above all liberating the Palestinian land and detainees, allowing Palestinian refugees to return, and establishing an independent state on their sacred land with Jerusalem as its capital."
