On the killing of a Palestinian by Israeli occupation forces, Hamas official Ismail Redwan stated the following: 

We mourn the death of Palestinian martyr Jamil Jamal Abu Ayyash, who was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces on Friday evening. 

This new crime is added to the Israeli occupation's record of atrocities against the Palestinian people. 

This heinous crime will not deter our people from resisting the occupation in Beita, Mount Sobieh, and across the occupied West Bank. 

Abu Ayyash's blood will fuel resistance and the Palestinian struggle for freedom, return, and independence. 

We call on all Palestinians to escalate resistance to the Israeli occupation with all means possible.
