On the release of Sheikh Raed Salah from Israeli occupation jails, the Hamas Movement stated the following:

The Islamic Resistance Movement- Hamas congratulates our Palestinian people, the Arab and Islamic nation, and the free people in the world, on the occasion of the release of Sheikh Raed Salah from the zionist occupation prisons after unjust detention that lasted 16 months.

Sheikh Raed Salah will remain a symbol of struggle and sacrifice in defending Palestine, Jerusalem, and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

As we salute Sheikh Raed Salah for his freedom, we assure that the occupation's policy of arrest and deportation against Palestinian symbols will not stop revealing the occupation's plans that target the holy sites, which Sheikh Raed Salah represents the most prominent title in standing as an impenetrable dam against these heinous attempts and plans.
