On targeting the funeral of Palestinian martyr Jamil al-Kayyal by the Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces in the West Bank, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem stated the following:
The PA's security services have exceeded all lines of morality and values by showing no respect to the Palestinian martyrs' blood nor their families' sacrifices in a complete absence of Palestinian national considerations which only serves the Israeli occupation's policies in destroying Palestinian national symbols.
