Member of Hamas Political Bureau, Fathi Hammad, confirmed that the normalization deal with the Israeli occupation would not affect the imperishable steadfastness of the Palestinian people.   

In an interview with the Al-Aqsa TV channel on the 34th Hamas’s anniversary, Hammad said that the ‘Deal of Century’ has “failed and faded away”, emphasizing that the world should understand that the Palestinian cause will only be solved through liberation and independence.  

The Hamas official confirmed that the issue of the Palestinian detainees is on top of Hamas’s agenda, and the movement works towards freeing them in a prisoner swap deal with the Israeli occupation. 

Meanwhile, Hammad condemned the Palestinian authority’s attacks on activists from the Palestinian factions in the West Bank, urging the PA security forces to “point their arms” towards the Israeli occupation. 

Hammad pointed out that Hamas is enormously interested in building the capacity of Palestinian youth and directing their energy towards the liberation of Palestine.  

He explained that the Hamas Youth Department continues to support all Palestinian youth.
