Head of Hamas Political Bureau Abroad, Khaled Meshal, has met with secretary-general of Lebanon's Islamic Jama'ah in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The Hamas delegation comprised of the members of Hamas politburo Mousa Abu Marzouq, Fathi Hammad, Mohammed Nazzal, Husam Badran, in addition to Hamas officials Ahmad Abdel Hadi and Ali Barakeh.

The meeting addressed a number of developments related to the Palestinian cause, especially following the "Sword of Al-Quds" battle and the Israeli occupation aggression against Palestinian citizens of Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Palestinians in the 1948 occupied territories.

Both sides reiterated the necessity to unify Palestinian efforts to confront the Israeli occupation and support the Palestinian people.
"The Palestinian cause is the central issue for our Ummah and Arab and Muslim peoples," Meshal stressed. "Lebanon is the nation most familiar with the Palestinian cause as it has been engaged with it for decades."

The former Hamas chief applauded the close relations his movement has with the Islamic Jama'ah, along with all Lebanese parties and factions.

Meshal reaffirmed that Palestinian refugees in Lebanon look forward to returning to their homeland and reject all projects which contradict such historic, humanitarian and national right.

Stressing that the Palestinian people and Hamas are keen on the security and stability to prevail in Lebanon, Meshal urged the Lebanese authorities to issue laws and take measures that facilitate the daily life of Palestinian refugees in the country.
