Chief of Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniyeh has congratulated the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Qatar’s National Day. 

In a letter penned to the Qatari Emir, the Hamas chief expressed his thanks and gratitude to Qatar for its honorable positions in support of the Palestinian cause and for endeavors to alleviate the hardship of Gaza’s people, who have been under Israeli occupation siege for more than fifteen years. 

Haniyeh said that his movement is proud of the “brotherly ties” between Palestine and Qatar, wishing more development, prosperity, and stability for the country.
