Spokesman of Hamas, Hazem Qassem, stated the following:

The PA's continued prosecution of dozens of political and human rights activists and community figures reflects its insistence on escalating its suppression of rights and violation of liberties in the West Bank.

These trials constitute a flagrant violation of the law, an attempt to terrorize the entire civil society in the West Bank and to consolidate the logic of silencing people to cover up the PA's crimes against our people in the West Bank.

We call on all political and societal forces for an active action to prevent the PA from continuing this destructive policy against the Palestinians in the West Bank.
