Member of Hamas Political Bureau, Fathi Hammad, met the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad Al-Nakhala, in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in the presence of the Islamic Jihad representative in Lebanon, Ihsan Ataya.

The two sides reviewed the latest developments of the Palestinian cause, national files, and ways to achieve Palestinian national unity based on resisting the occupation, protecting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, liberating the Palestinian detainees, and breaking the siege of Gaza.

Both sides stressed their adherence to resistance as the only way to confront the occupation, liberate the Palestinian land and regain the Palestinian rights and sanctities.

Besides stressing the political ties among Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other Palestinian resistance movements, the two sides expressed their rejection of the political arrests carried out by the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank against the Palestinian people.

Both sides agreed on strengthening bilateral relations, raising the level of cooperation and coordination at home and abroad, and working to mobilize the Ummah and the free people of the world around the project of resistance.
