The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" concluded on Wednesday its visit to Algeria.
The Hamas delegation included the head of the political portfolio abroad, Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, and the movement's representative in Algeria, Mohamed Othman.
Besides visiting the People's National Assembly and meeting with the heads of parliamentary blocs, the delegation also visited the National Council for Human Rights and met its head, Mr. Bouzid Lazhari.
The Hamas delegation visited the National Liberation Front, the National Democratic Assembly, the Future Front Party, the Movement of the Society of Peace, the Al-Binaa movement, and the Association of Muslim Scholars and met with their general secretaries, political offices, and officials.
Stressing the movement's keenness to hold the meeting and facilitate its success, the Hamas delegation welcomed the Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune's invitation to hold a Palestinian meeting in Algeria.
The delegation affirmed its support for the Algerian role in embracing the Palestinian cause.
The delegation also appreciated the Algerian role in rejecting normalisation, expressing the movement's rejection of any form of normalisation, and affirming the Palestinian people's adherence to resistance for liberating Palestine.
In its meetings during the visit, the Hamas delegation explained the developments related to the Palestinian cause, especially the conditions of assault and abuse against the Palestinian detainees in the occupation jails, repeated attacks in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the harsh living conditions in the Gaza Strip.
These meetings included congratulating Algeria on its victory in the Arab Cup. Hamas expressed the Palestinian people's appreciation of the Algerian team's position of dedicating their victory to the Palestinian people.
