The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas offers congratulations to the Palestinian people and the Arab and Muslim world on the victory of the Palestinian detainee Hisham Abu Hawash in his heroic battle against the Israeli occupation; Abu Hawash has shown a legendary steadfastness in the face of Israeli occupation's terrorism and arrogance. 

We salute Abu Hawash and all the Palestinian detainees who are on hunger strike in Israeli occupation prisons. 

This victory reflects the sources of strength that the Palestinian people and detainees have to win all of their battles against the Israeli occupation. 

We consider this victory to be an extension of the Palestinians’ steadfastness and determination to restore their legitimate rights and enforce their will with all means possible. 

We hail all efforts exerted and activities held by the Palestinian people, the Arab and Muslim nations, and the free peoples of the world in solidarity with Abu Hawash.
 
Embracing the issue of Palestinian detainees, exposing Israeli crimes against them, and working on liberating them from Israeli occupation jails is a national duty and a just humanitarian cause.
