The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemns in the strongest terms the vicious assault by the Palestinian Authority (PA) security services on Mohammed al-Zubeidi, the son of Palestinian detainee Zakaria al-Zubeidi, one of the six detainees who freed themselves from "Gilboa" prison last September. 
Attacking Palestinian national figures, welcoming reception parades of freed detainees and Palestinian detainees' sons are an irresponsible act and a serious violation that the PA and its security services bear full responsibility for and require holding those involved in it accountable. 
We call for an end to all suppression and torture policies and political arrests by the PA security services against Palestinian citizens of the West Bank and the release of all political activists and prisoners. 
The PA should stand with and support Palestinian detainees and take care of their sons and families instead of attacking and suppressing them in the same brutal way as the Israeli occupation does against the Palestinians.
