The Israeli occupation's special forces have committed a new crime today by attacking Birzeit's University campus, shooting inside the university, wounding, and kidnapping a number of them, including:

Hamas affirms that this Israeli occupation's crime came shortly after Barghouti and his fellow students visited the solidarity tent with the steadfast detainee in the occupation prisons, Nasser Abu Hamid.

Hamas stresses that the occupation's aggressive practices will only strengthen the determination of the Palestinian youth to continue their national role in supporting the detainees' issues, the educational process, and serving the Palestinian students.

The student movement, with its national unity and joint action, proved that it has always been capable of performing its national role with efficiency and competence.

Hamas stresses the need for the Palestinian Authority and its security services to be responsible and protect our students in the Palestinian universities from the occupation's crimes.

We call on international institutions and human rights organizations to reject and condemn these Zionist crimes against the educational process, expose and punish the occupation's crimes, and work for the immediate release of the kidnapped students.
