Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has sent a letter of condolences to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the death of Algerian revolution figure Othmane Belouizdad. 

Haniyeh pointed to the honourable history of Belouizdad for the sake of Algerian revolution, which has been a source of inspiration for the Palestinians and all peoples fighting occupation and colonialism. 

The Hamas chief offered his sincere condolences to the Algerian president, government, and people, in addition to Belouizdad's family. 

"May Allah shower the deceased with His mercy, make his abode in His spacious gardens, and grant his family and relatives patience over his loss," Haniyeh added. 

Haniyeh continued: "May Allah preserve Algeria and its people."
