Member of Hamas political bureau Husam Badran said that attacking Palestinian homes in Beita town in Nablus by the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) security forces after breaking into the town amounts to a “brutal” action against the Palestinian people.
In a press statement, Badran said that such arrest campaigns are a “stab in the back of the popular resistance” in the West Bank, especially in Beita town, which is an icon of resistance against the Israeli occupation.
The Hamas official called on the Palestinian factions to take action against political arrests in the West Bank, describing them as a “crime threatening our social fabric and ruining the unity of our people”.
Such arrests will not deter the Palestinian people from continuing the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation and defending their land against the Israeli colonial settlers’ thuggery.
