Hamas hails African Union’s suspension of Israeli occupation’s observer status

Head of Hamas Political Affairs Department Sami Abu Zuhri said that the movement appreciates the decision of the African Union to suspend the membership of the Israeli occupation’s observer status.
The African union unanimously voted to suspend the Israeli occupation’s membership.
In a press release, Abu Zuhri emphasised that this move “reflects the genuine position of the AU towards the Palestinian cause and the success of Algeria’s diplomacy.”
Abu Zuhri also called for more efforts towards permanently revoking the Israeli occupation's membership.
