The stance taken by anti-normalisation Jordanian organisations against the "Jordan Baja Rally," in which a number of Israeli occupation drivers are set to take part, reflects the genuine sense of belonging of the Jordanian people, Maher Salah, member of Hamas Political Bureau, said Saturday. 

In a press statement, Salah explained that this move is in line with the historic positions that affirm the Arab peoples' commitment to their national stances. 

The efforts exerted by the Israeli occupation over the years to brainwash the Jordanian generations were to no avail and failed to shatter their rejection of any attempt to integrate the Israeli occupation into the Arab region, Salah pointed out. 

Salah stressed that this position emphasised the Jordanian deep sense of belonging towards the Arab and Muslim world. 

He continued: "Hamas hails such genuine stances, which confirm that the Jordanian people are still committed to the Palestinian cause, Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which are a matter of concern for the Palestinian and Jordanian peoples."

The senior Hamas official called on Jordanian official and popular sides to take a historic, national stance against the continued Israeli occupation aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem, particularly the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood.
