The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas praises all stances taken by Palestinian political, popular, and civil forces against a decree naming the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) a unit under the State of Palestine, which have forced the Palestinian Authority president to reverse his decision. 

This move reiterates that all Palestinians reject the policy of monopoly and unilateralism practised by the PA leadership, which is dominating the PLO and exercising monopoly over the Palestinian decision-making
 
They also indicate the Palestinian people's rejection of the arrangements being made to take over the Palestinian institutions and allow them to be used as tools by a dominating elite that acts according to partisan agenda.   

This decree reflected what has been plotted to undermine the PLO's role and turn it into a weak entity affiliated to an authority under occupation. This requires a unified national action to put an end to these grave policies. 

As we hold the PA leadership and the PLO's Central Council, headed by PA President Mahmoud Abbas, responsible for this sinful decree, we call on all Palestinian factions and parties to continue exerting pressure on the PA leadership to compel it to reverse its policy of unilateralism and work on rebuilding the Palestinian House on the basis of democratic, political, and national principles to preserve national constants and embrace comprehensive resistance until the Palestinian people achieve their aspirations for liberation and return and establish a fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
