The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas expresses its deep appreciation to all of the entire teaching staff at home and in the diaspora, as well as across the Arab world for their effective role in bringing up generations by boosting their sense of belonging towards their homelands and Ummah and fostering the values of defending their nations and persevering the identity of the Arab world, its constants, and holy sites.

We pray for Allah to have His mercy upon the deceased Palestinian teachers with His mercy and wish the wounded teachers a fast and full recovery and the detained teachers to be released soon.

We salute Palestinian teachers everywhere, either at home, in diaspora, or in refugee camps abroad, who are determined to deliver this noble message out of their love for Palestine and their commitment to their homeland, constants, identity, and holy sites.

We confirm that Palestinian teachers should be praised and granted their rights.

In light of the aforementioned, we state the following:

First: By conveying their noble message, Palestinian teachers are pushing back against attempts by the Israeli occupation to falsify awareness of the Palestinian generations and enforce its colonial-settler agenda. The Palestinian teachers set an example in making sacrifices for their homeland.

Second: The attempts aimed at changing the educational curriculum in some Arab countries to serve the agenda of normalization with the Israeli occupation and the policy of whitewashing its image are bound to fail. The Israeli occupation poses a real threat to the region's security and stability and the interests and future of its people.

Third: Developing a curriculum that documents the Palestinian history, the occupation, and aggression against the Palestinian people is a political and historic responsibility that all governments and educational institutions should assume to bolster the Arab world's sense of belonging towards Palestine and support for its people and their struggle to achieve their aspirations for liberation and return.
Fourth: Targeting the teaching personnel and institutions in the occupied West Bank, the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 by the Israeli occupation constitutes a crime against humanity and a blatant violation of all international conventions and resolutions.
We call on all human rights groups and humanitarian organizations to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation to end its aggression.  Protection and a safe environment for Palestinian teachers must be provided.

Fifth: We call on Palestinian teachers to continue their educational role in enhancing awareness and reinforcing the values of resistance and commitment to rights, constants, and holy sites.

We also urge teachers across the Arab world to encourage their students to keep the Palestinian cause alive in their hearts and minds and to dedicate classes to explain the dangers of normalization with the Israeli occupation.
