This year's anniversary of Isra and Mi'raj comes as the Israeli occupation intensifies its aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's first Qibla and third holiest site, through raids, desecration, and attempts to divide it temporally and spatially, in addition to excavations, wiping out its landmarks, and altering historical facts.

This anniversary coincides with the continuous crimes being committed by the Israeli occupation army and Israeli settlers against Palestinian worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque
These crimes should remind anew the Arab and Muslim leaders, governments, peoples, and organisations of their historical duty of defending the Al-Aqsa compound and supporting Palestinian Jerusalemites until liberating it.

On this anniversary, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas states the following:

Frist: The Al-Aqsa Mosque is part of the Muslim faith and the core of the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation, which has no legitime claim to it. The Palestinian people will remain committed to their legitimate rights and defend them through comprehensive resistance until achieving their aspirations for liberation and return.

Second: The Arab and Muslim world's connection to Palestine, particularly Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, is eternal. This has been evident throughout history.

Third: We warn the Israeli occupation against continuing its crimes and violations against the Al-Aqsa compound and Jerusalem and its Palestinian population. As we condemn the international inaction and silence over such aggression, we reiterate that Israeli attempts to erase the landmarks and identity of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque and change historical facts are bound to fail.

Fourth: We call on the Palestinian people to continue fighting off Israeli plots and defending Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa compound with all means possible. We urge the Arab and Muslim leaders, peoples, and organisations to take serious actions in support of Jerusalem and Palestinian Jerusalemites at all levels and in all political, diplomatic, media, charity, and humanitarian forums.

Fifth: May Allah have mercy upon the martyrs who have fallen while defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque. We salute Palestinian worshippers who are protecting the Al-Aqsa compound and fending off Israeli attempts to desecrate it. We also hail the mass popular participation in the Grand Fajr campaign and the Jerusalem International Week, which embodied a sense of unity among the Palestinian people and the Arab and Muslim nations and reflected their determination to continue defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque with all means possible.
