Head of Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, has congratulated Palestinian detainee Abdel Rahim Bushkar on his release after being jailed for 20 years in Israeli occupation jails. 

In a phone call, the Hamas chief hailed Bushkar for his steadfastness and resilience during his imprisonment, expressing his joy over his release and the mass participation in his reception.

Haniyeh reiterated his movement's commitment to support Palestinian detainees until they regain their freedom. 

He also praised the Bushkar family for setting an "advanced example" in confronting and resisting the Israeli occupation.
