A high-level delegation from Hamas, headed by its politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh, has met with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged congratulations on the advent of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The Hamas delegation discussed the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause, including the Israeli occupation's aggression and killings across the occupied West Bank, its 15-year siege on Gaza, and its attempts to Judaise Jerusalem.
Stressing that the Palestinian people are aware of such Israeli practices and measures, the delegation addressed the harsh detention conditions of Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation prisons.
The Hamas delegation, which included Khalid Meshal, Mousa Abu Marzouq, and Husam Badran, hailed Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his stances and role supportive of the Palestinian people and their cause and national rights in various forums.
The delegation highlighted the close relationship between the Palestinian resistance movement and Qatar.
