Taher Al-Nono, the media advisor to Hamas political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh, held the Zionist occupation responsible for its practices and provocations in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Bab Al-Amoud (Damascus gate) area.

Al-Nono said that the occupation bears the consequences of this dangerous escalation that provokes the feelings of Palestinians and Muslims around the world.

Al-Nono pointed out that the occupation's deployment of thousands of its soldiers, provocation of citizens, and continuous repression over the past days will never demoralize our people, nor will it undermine their attachment to Al-Aqsa.

Al-Nono added that the movement’s leadership sent a clear message to all relevant parties that the occupation must stop these provocations in the city of Jerusalem, and the occupation must backtrack these provocative practices.
