Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has briefed Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Marzouq al-Ghanim on the latest developments at the Al-Aqsa Mosque after Israeli occupation forces raided the Muslim compound and attacked Palestinian worshippers. 

In a phone call, Haniyeh reaffirmed that the Palestinian people will continue to defend their holy sites. 

Haniyeh called on al-Ghanim to take on his genuine role in backing Palestinian rights, denouncing these crimes, which constitute a violation of all international norms and standards, and exerting pressure on the Israeli occupation in all international forums to end its assaults on the Al-Aqsa Mosque. 

The Hamas chief, meanwhile, hailed Kuwaiti emir, government, parliament's positions in support of the Palestinian cause, including the ones expressed by the parliament speaker on various occasions.    

The Kuwaiti parliament speaker, in turn, condemned the Israeli occupation's practices at the Al-Aqsa compound, reaffirming his country's constant stance supportive of the legitimate Palestinian rights.
