Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri has accused PA president Mahmoud Abbas and premier Rami Hamdallah of shedding crocodile tears over the tragedy of the al-Hindi family.
In a press release on Sunday, Abu Zuhri said that Abbas and Hamdallah lack credibility where it relates to the Gaza power crisis.
“Their guilt can only be erased when they exempt Gaza from fuel taxes and consent to new Israeli feeder lines.” He added.
The PA has obstructed efforts to link the Gaza power grid to new Israeli lines, whereas high taxes on fuel imports for the Gaza power plant prevent the station from operating with full capacity.
