The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas rejects the newly-announced Israeli settler-colonial scheme in occupied Jerusalem aimed to isolate the Musrara neighborhood from the Bab al-Amud (Damascus Gate) area and the rest of neighborhoods in the holy city. 

We view this move as part of a Judaisation plan and an infringement upon the Muslim and Christian endowment lands in a bid to change the features of Jerusalem and undermine the Palestinian presence in it. 

We confirm that the Israeli occupation's attempts to impose a new fait accompli on the ground will not alter Jerusalem's Arab and Islamic character. 

We call on the Palestinian people and factions to confront these Judaisation schemes with all means possible.
