Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has met with Jamil Mizher, deputy secretary general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The meeting addressed the situation in occupied Jerusalem, including the Judaisation schemes and attempts to take over Muslim and Christian holy sites and impose a temporal and spatial division at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to the intensified illegal settlement activity in the occupied West Bank and how to confront these attacks through comprehensive resistance.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed attempts by the Israeli occupation to integrate itself into the region through normalisation and form new regional alliances that boost its drive for domination.
Such attempts require bringing the Palestinian cause back to the forefront as the Arab and Muslim world's central issue and exerting strenuous efforts to undermine the Israeli occupation's moves to penetrate the region at the expense of the Palestinian cause, they stressed.
The senior Palestinian officials talked about how to reorganise the Palestinian house and reinforce the option of resistance and joint action to confront the Israeli occupation and its schemes and achieve the Palestinians' aspirations.
