Head of Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, and a senior Hamas delegation met the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, this morning in Beirut, where they discussed the developments related to the Palestinian cause, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas politburo head reviewed the occupation's Judaization and seizure attempts targetting the Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem, and the temporal and spatial division attempts of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Haniyeh congratulated Berri for his re-election and victory in the House of Representatives elections and hailed his positions in support of the Palestinian cause in Arab parliaments.
Haniyeh praised Berri's diligent follow-up to the Al-Burj Al-Shamaly crime, and his special care for reconciliation with the Fatah movement. Haniyeh also affirmed his movement's support for the Lebanese unified position regarding the demarcation of the borders.
Hamas chairman also requested the Speaker of the House of Representatives to follow up on the work of the Joint Palestinian Action Committee and to ensure the continuity of its work, and stressed on paying attention to the social and humanitarian issues and rights of the Palestinian people, and to enable the Palestinian people to live in dignity in the shadow under the new parliament.
