Hamas representative in Lebanon Ahmad Abdel Hadi has offered his congratulations to the Algerian ambassador to Lebanon Abdel Karim Rakaibi on the 60th anniversary of his country's independence. 

During a visit to the Algerian embassy in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, Abdel Hadi briefed the Algerian diplomat on the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause and Lebanon's Palestinian refugees.
 
Pointing to the Hamas chief's visit to Algeria at the invitation of the republic's President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Abdel Hadi expressed his appreciation and thanks for the warm welcome and reception that the Hamas delegation received from the Algerian president, army, and people.    

The Hamas official praised Algeria's unwavering stances in support of the Palestinian cause and against normalization with the Israeli occupation, hailing the republic for its keenness to achieve Palestinian unity. 

The Algeria ambassador, in turn, commended Hamas for its unique role in the Palestinian arena, hoping that the Palestinian people liberate their homeland and regain their rights to freedom, independence, and return.
