Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh, accompanied by a senior delegation from his movement, has rounded off a visit to Algeria, during which they attended the country's independence celebrations.
During the visit, Haniyeh attended a meeting with a high-level delegation from Fatah, held under the auspices of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The Hamas chief visited the Algeria Council of the Nation, where he met with its speaker Saleh Goudjil.
Haniyeh also met with the head of the National People's Assembly Ibrahim Bogali during a separate visit to the council and several fruitful meetings with Algerian officials.
On the sidelines of his trip, Haniyeh, accompanied by the Hamas delegation, visited the Monument of the Martyr and the Military Museum.
The top Hamas official was received by the head of the Algerian Red Crescent Ibtissem Hamlaoui. He also met with leaders and senior officials of a number of Algerian parties, including the National Liberation Front, the Movement of Society for Peace, the National Construction Movement, and the Islamic Renaissance Movement.
Meanwhile, Haniyeh met with several heads and delegates from charities and organizations, parliamentarians, national dignitaries, and figures.
The Hamas chief hailed Tebboune's efforts and stances toward the Palestinian cause, which align with Algeria's unwavering and historical positions in support of the Palestinian cause and people.
