The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas welcomes the two resolutions issued by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations that call for lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, immediate stop of all colonial settlement forms in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, and condemning the continued violence and repression by the occupation army against Palestinian demonstrators and journalists. Hamas Movement considers these resolutions new international evidence that reveals the extent of the crimes practiced against our Palestinian people, land, and holy sites, and reaffirms the illegality of the occupation and its colonial settlement plans.

In light of the occupation’s disregard for all international norms, charters, and resolutions, Hamas Movement calls on the international community, the United Nations, and its institutions and organizations to assume their responsibility and put pressure on the Zionist occupation to lift its siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and compel it to stop all its colonial settlement and Judaization crimes.
