Hamas Movement's spokesman, Abdel Latif al-Qanou, affirmed that presenting the Zionist occupation's violations before the UN Security Council without incriminating it encourages the occupation to escalate its aggression against our Palestinian people.

Al-Qanoua said Wednesday that the Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Lynne Hastings, had presented in her speech before the UN Security Council the Zionist occupation's crimes and violations against the Palestinian land and people. These crimes included the colonial settlement expansion, colonial settlers’ crimes, cold-blooded killing, the continuation of house demolitions, displacement of Palestinians, and the siege on the Gaza Strip. The mentioned ongoing crimes and violations reveal once again the truth of the occupation's daily criminal behavior against our Palestinian people, land, and holy sites.

Al-Qanoua pointed out that the occupation's continuous aggression and systematic crimes constitute a flagrant violation and blatant disregard for all international charters and resolutions.

Al-Qanoua called on the United Nations to assume their political, legal, and humanitarian responsibilities by taking urgent and practical steps to put an end to those aggressive policies against our Palestinian land and achieve the Palestinian right to freedom and self-determination.
