Hamas stressed that Mahmoud Abbas’s endorsement of the French initiative is unilateral and does not represent Palestinians.

In a press release on Monday, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri slammed the initiative as an attempt to distract Palestinians and abolish their rights, especially the right of return.

“Abbas does not have national consensus to support his approval of the initiative,” Abu Zuhri underlined.
