The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourns the death of 60-year-old Hussein Qawariq, from Awarta village in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, who succumbed to wounds that he sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation forces near Hawara checkpoint three days ago.
We stress that the Israeli occupation's disregard for the Palestinian blood and cold-blooded killings of civilians is a crime that requires intensifying resistance in all forms to defend the Palestinian people and their lands.
As we offer our sincere condolences to Qawariq's family and the residents of Awarta, we call on the Palestinian people to remain steadfast and united in the face of the Israeli occupation, which targets innocent Palestinians and continues to deny them their rights to their land and holy sites.
