Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem has said that the Israeli occupation has escalated its aggression against the Palestinian people and their holy sites after some Arab regimes normalised ties with it. 

"We have previously warned that normalisation agreements would encourage the Israeli occupation to intensify its crimes against our Palestinian people," Qasem added. 

In a press statement on Saturday morning, Qasem called on the Arab and Muslim world to "raise their voices" against the Israeli aggression and unify their efforts to confront the Israeli occupation project, which targets not only the Palestinian people but also the Arab national security and interests.  

"The Israeli occupation will remain the arch enemy of the Arab and Muslim world and will never be a normal entity in the region," Qasem continued. "The Palestinian cause will remain the central issue for all segments of the Ummah."
