The Israeli occupation is deluded into thinking that it can undermine the growing resistance across Palestine by assassinating Palestinian resistance commanders, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem has said. 

In a press statement on Sunday morning, Qasem explained that the Palestinian resistance is carrying out its "sacred duty" of defending the Palestinian people and their holy sites and responding to Israeli crimes. 

"The bravery shown by the Palestinian resistance in defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque reaffirms that it is capable of continuing to defend the Palestinian people," Qasem added.
