The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas commends the Palestinian people for stationing at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and defending it amid provocative incursions into the Muslim sacred site by extremist Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. 

This sends a clear message to the Israeli occupation and its supporters that the Palestinian people will not allow the Israeli occupation to continue targeting Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. 

Israeli schemes aimed at desecrating and dividing the Al-Aqsa compound are bound to fail.   

We renew our call for Palestinian citizens of Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, to continue defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque against Israeli settlers and foil their plots to take over the mosque by imposing a temporal and spatial division at the compound and passing their malicious schemes aimed at Judaising and demolishing the Muslim sacred site. 

We call on the Arab and Muslim world to immediately act to protect Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa compound and support the Palestinian people in their fight to defend the mosque.
