Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem has called on the international community to take serious steps to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its war crimes against the Palestinian people. 

In a press statement late Monday, Qasem explained that repeated international calls for probing into the Israeli occupation's crimes have failed to put an end to its ongoing aggression and terrorism against the Palestinian people. 

Qasem's remarks came following of a series of crimes committed against the Palestinian people, the latest of which was the summary execution of Mohammed al-Shaham by Israeli occupation forces during a raid on his home in occupied Jerusalem.
